This short story started on a bus ride after a meeting with my Bibliotherapy professor. For some time, the spark of writing felt lost to me. However, the words found themselves in my notes app in springtime. I wanted to explore visual language with this piece by blending the written dialogue and the dark, whimsical graphite style. Generally, the borders of graphic comics are definitive. I wanted each panel to transition fluidly to the next for this piece. As things seem more desperate, the atmosphere is darker. Once daylight rises, her hope returns with the lighter background.
